Approximately 150 local activists participated in a beach cleanup and peaceful demonstration on Saturday, Feb. 11, near the Ventura pier. The group, organized by Ventura resident Gwendolyn Alley, held hands and formed a line where the tide rolled in, made a double heart formation as well as spelled out RESIST. Ventura protesters coordinated on the same day with another group of thousands in San Francisco who also spelled out RESIST along the beach.
